Catering supply orders have to survive transport and changing guest counts. Build each event list from the service style, then separate food packaging, beverage service, guest-facing disposables and cleanup stock.
Pack by service stage
- Kitchen pack-out: gloves, foil, film, pans and labels
- Transport: sealed containers, bags and carriers
- Guest service: plates, cutlery, cups and napkins
- Breakdown: liners, towels and cleaning supplies
Use a guest-count buffer deliberately
Set a standard overage for disposables based on the event type instead of grabbing random extra sleeves. Drop-off meals and self-serve events use supplies differently, so they should not share the same buffer.

Standardize repeatable event kits
Create a small, medium and large pack list for each common service style. A repeatable kit makes purchasing faster and reveals which cases should stay in regular inventory.
